OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards: a) Worksite was located at Route 21 SB and Chester Avenue, Newark, NJ Employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by construction vehicles within a highway construction zone. The employer did not document a pre-planned traffic pattern for pedestrian and construction traffic when operating in order to ensure the safety of the employees working and walking within the construction work zone. Violation occurred on or about 9/14/15.
