Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system. (a) Southwest side of building, 2101 E. Austin, Nevada, MO: Employees were working on a flat roof 20 feet above lower levels, outside the warning line system, and were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or other protective systems. The safety monitor was not on the roof with the employees. This violation was abated during inspection. Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: (a) Southwest side of building, 2101 E. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19
