29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition.      a) At Aisle #4 in warehouse - Employer failed to keep the aisle clean and in orderly condition when materials such as boxes and bags of merchandise were stored and blocked the aisles. Employees were exposed to trip and fire hazards.

29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employees must be able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. A device such as a panic bar that locks only from the outside is permitted on exit discharge doors.    a) In Returns Department -  The exit route door was locked from inside with two locks on the door and employees were not able to open the exit door as required. Employees were exposed to fire hazards.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(1): Each exit route must be adequately lighted so that an employee with normal vision can see along the exit route.    a) In Production Department - The first exit route on the right side was not adequately lighted as required when employees were operating propane forklift trucks and working with chemicals and tufting machines. Employees were exposed to the fire hazards.

Employees were exposed to fire and trip hazards.     Surya, Inc. was previously cited for a serious violation of the same occupational safety and health standard and hazard of 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection # 965470, Citation #1, Item #2 and was affirmed as final order on 06/04/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 140 Executive Drive, SE, Calhoun, Georgia 37701.
