29 CFR 1926.501(c)(1): When employees were exposed to falling objects, the employer did not have each employee wear a hard hat and did not erect toeboards, screens, canopy structures or barricades to prevent objects from falling from higher levels: a) 5th Floor Elevator Penetration - On or about 02/24/2016, approximately 20 small iron pipes were left within 2.5 feet of an open, unprotected elevator shaft which had not been provided with falling object protection. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
