29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Left Rear Roof Peak - A worker was using a pneumatic nail gun to attach plywood to the roof trusses was wearing a fall protection harness however was not tied off and not protected from falling approximately 30' to the ground and scrap material below. b) Front Center Lower Roof - A worker standing on the top plate between the roof trusses preparing to attach plywood to the roof was wearing a fall protection harness however was not tied off and not protected from falling approximately 20' to the ground and scrap material below, on or about 2/24/16. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
