29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(5): Handrails and the top rails of stairrail systems were not capable of withstanding, with failure, a force of at least 200 pounds (890 n) applied within 2 inches (5 cm) of the top edge, in any downward or outward direction, at any point along the top edge. On or about March 3rd, 2016, at the jobsite located at 9255 SW 36th St. Miami, FL. 33165, The employer did not verify that the fixed top riel system located in a terrace was capable to withstanding employees. One of the employees who weighted approximately 235 lbs. fell from about 14 ft. while the handrail that he grabbed broke off.
