29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(2)(i): Before work subject to this standard began, the building and/or facility owner(s) did not determine the presence, location and quantity of asbestos containing material (ACM) and/or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) at the worksite pursuant to 29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(1): (a) F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Bldg 1250, Cheyenne, WY 820009: On or before December, 21, 2015, the facility owner did not determine the presence, location, and quantity of ACM and/or PACM prior to authorizing work by a flooring contractor. A flooring contractor pulled up carpeting. Attached to the carpeting was tile and mastic that had not been assessed for asbestos content. This condition potentially exposed the contractor to asbestos. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
