29 CFR 1926.304(h)(1): Each circular crosscut table saw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw blade above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut:Note: See paragraph (i)(1) of this section for additional requirements for hand-fed crosscut table saws. (a) Bureau of Reclamation, Western Colorado Area Office 310 25 3/4 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81507; On and before February 18, 2016, the employer did not ensure that an adequate guard was installed to guard a hand-fed circular table saw at the point of operation. Following the rip-cut of a laminated floor tile with a Porter Cable PCB22OTS table saw, this condition resulted in an employee, who had just used the saw, being exposed to laceration and amputation hazards and resulted in amputation of the employee's left pinky finger and lacerations to the left palm below the ring, middle, and index fingers.
