29 CFR 1926.1101(d)(5): As supervisor of the entire project, the general contractor did not ascertain whether the asbestos contractor was in compliance with the asbestos standard, and did not require such contractor to come into compliance with this standard: (a) Erskine Hall - The employer did not ensure that the asbestos remediation contractor onsite had conducted initial monitoring to determine worker exposure levels prior to or during demolition operations of material found to contain 50% chrysotile asbestos material, on or about December 11, 2015. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
