29 CFR 1910.36(g)(1): The ceiling of an exit route must be at least seven feet six inches (2.3 m) high. Any projection from the ceiling must not reach a point less than six feet eight inches (2.0 m) from the floor. a) On or about 02/29/2016, in the basement where housekeeping supplies and equipment were stored and accessed by workers on daily basis, the only door leading to the storage area was less than six feet eight inches (2.0 m) from the floor. The door was not marked with safety color code to warn the workers of the low clearance. b) On or about 02/29/2016, in the basement where housekeeping supplies and equipment were stored and accessed by workers on daily basis, the fire suppression sprinkler and the auxiliary pipes projected to height from the floor less than six feet and eight inches (2.0 m) from the floor. The sprinkler and the pipes were not marked with safety color code to warn the workers of the low clearance.
