29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer shall provide portable fire extinguishers and shall mount, locate and identify them so that they are readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury. a. Warehouse/Dry Storage - On or about March 29, 2016, two (2) fire extinguishers were not mounted on their designated locations for employees use. Employees were thereby potentially exposed to the hazards of vacating a building during a fire and other emergencies. 1. Column # 1 - the fire extinguisher was missing from its hook. 2. Column # 2 - the fire extinguisher was on the floor/dismounted from its location.
