29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment:  DOPE ROOM: The employees, performing the task of obtaining a Lab Casting Sample from Dope Reactor No 9 were not required to wear the appropriate eye and face protective equipment to protect against chemical splashes.  On or about 3/14/2016, while an employee was in the process of collecting a sample for testing from the above reactor vessel, the chemicals (determined to be corrosive) sprayed out after the cap was removed/opened in a mist form making contact with the employees face. The employee sustained minor injuries in the process.
