29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which is six feet or more above a lower level were not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) 760 Route 1 North, Edison, NJ 08817. Two employees were observed doing stucco application to façade of building while working on and from the roof with no fall protection systems in place exposing them to falls measuring nine feet, four inches from the soffit to the sidewalk below. Condition occurred on or about 03/23/16.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) 760 Route 1 North, Edison, NJ 08817. Two employees were observed using a portable aluminum extension ladder to access the roof when the ladder did not extend three feet above the landing exposing them to fall hazards measuring nine feet, four inches from the soffit to the sidewalk below. Condition occurred on or about 03/23/16.
