29 CFR 1926.502(b)(3): Guardrail systems were not capable of withstanding, without failure, a force of at least 200 pounds (890 N) applied within 2 inches (5.1 cm) of the top edge, in any outward or downward direction, at any point along the top edge:    a)  At the jobsite, on the 2nd floor, on or about 3/24/16:  The employer did not ensure that the top-rail of the guardrail system at the elevator shaft would withstand at least 200 lbs. of lateral force.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    a)  At the jobsite, on the 3rd floor deck level, on or about 3/24/16:  The employer did not ensure that workers installing deck trusses, spaced 20 inches apart, were protected from falling 8 feet to the lower level when working inside the building footprint, and 20 feet to ground when at the buildings edge.      b)  At the jobsite, on the 2nd floor, on or about 3/24/16:  The employer did not ensure that workers receiving deck trusses at window openings were protected from falling 10 feet to ground.    Margo's Oasis was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1020604, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on2/15/15, with respect to a workplace located at 6006 Fairlakes Road, East Syracuse, NY.
