29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about March 28, 2016, Rally Roofing & Restoration, LLC., as the controlling employer, did not ensure that employees of MAH Construction, Inc., a subcontractor, engaged in steep roofing activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were protected by guardrails, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees of the subcontractor were exposed to fall hazards of up to 25 feet, while engaged in commercial roofing activities without fall protection equipment. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
