29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.      a) On or about 03/31/2016 on building# 13940, employees working/walking on a pre-engineered metal roofing installing insulation materials such as but not limited to plastic coated wire mesh , insulation plates and fiberglass insulation (TPO) were not protected from a fall hazard. An employee tripped on the edge of the building wall, falling 30.6 feet to the ground below.     Tampa Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 689298, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/15/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 2901 E. Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL, 33612.
