29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a)  Colorado Premium at 5140 Race Ct., Unit 1, Denver, CO, 80216:  On and before April 4, 2016, the employer did not ensure that the inclined auger for the chicken slicer was guarded.  The auger was located in a hopper set at floor level, with walls of approximately 3 feet high.  The distance to the point of operation for employees was approximately 2 feet.  Condition exposed employees to an amputation hazard.
