OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to potential struck-by and/or crushing hazards by a falling load: a) Facility, 152 Weber Lane, Bedford, PA: On or about April 1, 2016, employees were exposed to hazards due to the "pad" lifting eye used to attach a chain sling to the ripper tooth that has been in operation on a daily basis for years that had been manufactured in house, was not tested to determine it's lifting capacity and did not have the manufacturer's information marked on the lifting device.
