29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program which at included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii):    a) Ramey Environmental Compliance, Inc. at 20213 WCR #1, Berthoud, CO 80513:  On or before April 5th, 2016 employees performing operations at the waste water treatment facility utilized various chemicals including but not limited to sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine, and soda ash.  The employer failed to implement and maintain a written hazard communication program prior to working with hazardous chemicals.  This condition exposed employees to various health hazards associated with the hazardous chemicals being used in and around their work areas.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:      a) Ramey Environmental Compliance, Inc. at 20213 WCR #1, Berthoud, CO 80513:  On or before April 5th, 2016 employees performing operations at the waste water treatment facility utilized various chemicals including but not limited to sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine, and soda ash.  The employer failed to ensure that employees had received effective information and training at the time of their initial assignment.  This condition exposed employees to various health hazards associated with the hazardous chemicals being used in and around their work areas.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer did not verify, through a written certification, that the required workplace hazard assessment had been performed:  a) Ramey Environmental Compliance, Inc. at 20213 WCR #1, Berthoud, CO 80513:  On or before April 5th, 2016 employees performing operations at the waste water treatment facility utilized various chemicals including but not limited to sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine, and soda ash.  The use of such chemicals requires the use of personal protective equipment.  The employer failed to ensure that a written certification had been completed indicating that a workplace hazard assessment had been performed.
