29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i): The employee training did not include the methods and observations used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area. a) U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center 7323 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22306: On or about April 13, 2016, and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to Versico Roofing Systems Low VOC Bonding Adhesive which contained toluene and other hazardous chemicals, without training on methods and observations that may be used, such as odor of hazardous chemicals when being released, exposing employees to potentially harmful vapors. No abatement certification or documentation required.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(ii): Employee training did not include the physical and health hazards of the chemicals in the work area: a) U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center 7323 Telegraph Rd, Alexandria, VA 22306: On or about April 13, 2016, and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to Versico Roofing Systems Low VOC Bonding Adhesive which contained toluene and other hazardous chemicals, without training on the health hazards associated with exposure including irritation of the eyes, respiratory tract, dizziness, headaches and cumulative effects. No abatement certification or documentation required.
