29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Worksite on Interstate 80 westbound, west end of bridge over US 46, Denville, NJ An employee without fall protection was exposed to a fall of approximately 22 feet at the west end of the bridge where there were no guardrails, safety nets or other means of protection. Violation occurred on or about 4/19/16. b) Worksite on Interstate 80 westbound, east end of bridge over US 46, Denville, NJ Employees without fall protection were exposed to a fall of approximately 18 feet at the east end of the bridge where there were no guardrails, safety nets or other means of protection. Violation occurred on or about 4/19/16.
