29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use: WORKSITE: The Lull Model 644-34 rough terrain forklift truck, which was not designed by the manufacturer to support a scaffold work platform was used to elevate and support a platform while the employee was installing window trim on the second floor. Classy Builders LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard (29 CFR1926.451(c)(2)(iv)), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 924547, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2a, affirmed as a final order on 11/27/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 660 Rowland Road, Fairfield, CT.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. WORKSITE: The employee, installing window trim from a supported scaffold platform was not protected from he hazard of falling approximately 19 feet to the ground by the use of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems and/or an equivalent safe means of protection. Classy Builders LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard (29 CFR1926.451(g)(1)(vii)), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 924547, Citation Number 1, Item Number 3a, affirmed as a final order on 11/27/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 660 Rowland Road, Fairfield, CT.
