This exposure was determined employee air sampling conducted over a 483 minute time period.

29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a) On April 29, 2016, an R & D Technician was exposed to an 8 hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 18 mg/M3 Particulates not otherwise regulated, approximately 1.2 times the permissible exposure limit. This exposure was determined employee air sampling conducted over a 483 minute time period. Applicable engineering or administrative controls may include, but are not limited to the following: 1) Utilize local exhaust where dust generating portable tools are being used. 2) Conduct a study of the R & D Technician tasks and work locations to determine dust sources. Develop and implement engineering controls to eliminate or minimize the dust generation from the dust sources.
