OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing for likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to burns to the eyes from hazardous material such as but not limited to silica or lime:  a.) Housekeeping/Laundry Room Area: The employer did not ensure the emergency eye wash/shower station was inspected annually and activated weekly to ensure operability and availability of water. The employees dispense corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to 66 heavy duty antibacterial all-purpose cleaner and were exposed to eye irritations, redness, or irreversible corneal damage.   Ramada Plaza (previously known as Atlanta Gateway Hotel), was previously cited for serious violations for OSHA ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1)ANSI Z358.1 which were contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1089456, Citation 1, Item 1 issued on 10/2/2015 for the inspection site 5010 Old National Hwy, College Park, GA 30349. It became a final order on 10/16/2015.
