OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees    OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:     Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards:       a) On or about April 21, 2016, employees picking product were required to use steel welded frame rolling/mobile ladder stands having four risers. The supports on the rolling/mobile ladder stands were bent. The ladders were not stable. Employees were thereby exposed to a fall hazard. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable means to correct this hazard is to follow the manufacture's product safety notice and the methods explained in the applicable ANSI standard (Mobile Ladder Stands & Mobile Ladder Stand Platforms; ANSI-ASC 14.7-2011), which prescribes rules and requirements governing the proper design, construction, testing, care, use, and maintenance of mobile ladder stands.       Certification, with date and method of abatement required. Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be submitted within ten (10) calendar days after the abatement date.
