29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On May 3, 2016, on the edge of the second level balcony of a commercial building under construction, an employee was pressure testing the plumbing system without fall protection. The employee was exposed to a fall hazard.
