29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or person arrest system. On or about May 3, 2016, roofers were observed installing metal roof material on to a roof with unprotected sides and edges. The employees were exposed to fall hazards at the heights greater than 6 feet high.
