29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). a) On or about 4/16/2016 and at times prior to, H&T Enterprises employees working at the US Postal Service Facility located at 200 South Jefferson in Winchester, TN, were using Spartan Glossy Black Floor Finish (Category 2 for carcinogenicity and Category 1B reproductive toxicity, eye and skin irritant) and the employer had not assessed the workplace to determine the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
