29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: On or about May 11, 2016, employees were exposed to irritations/burns of the skin and eyes while using chemicals such as, but not limited to Battery Terminal Protector, Brake Lubricant, Brake Fluid and Cleaner, Starting Fluid, Paint Thinner, Rubberized Undercoat, Antifreeze and Coolant in the repair area of the facility. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: On or about May 11, 2016 the employer did not develop and implement a hazard communication program that followed all requirements specified under sections (e), (f), (g) and (h) of the standard. Employees were exposed to products can cause skin irritation and dermatitis since they were not provided with training, proper labeling and safety data sheets (SDS). Employees were required to work with chemicals, such as, but not limited to Battery Terminal Protector, Brake Lubricant, Brake Fluid and Cleaner, Starting Fluid, Paint Thinner, Rubberized Undercoat, Antifreeze and Coolant. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
