29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about May 13, 2016, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential carpentry operations on a first floor, ten (10) feet on inside of structure, thirteen (13) feet on the west side, and twelve (12) feet on the north side, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards. J. R. Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 906160, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order June 27, 2013, on with respect to a workplace located at LaPorte Meadow, Lily Court Lot #33, Frankfort, IL 60423.
