29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, moving parts, flying chips and sparks: A.) American Industries Inc. - A Division of A. Stucki Company; Fabrication area; DOALL Model #4100 - On or about 5/3/16, and at times prior thereto, the unused portion of the saw blade on a horizontal band saw was not guarded. 1. The right side section of the unused portion of the saw blade and guide roll were not guarded. 2. The left side section of the unused portion of the saw blade and guide roll were not guarded. 3. The left side of the saw blade was not properly guarded. The bottom of the blade was exposed.
