29 CFR 1926.454(a)(3): The employer did not have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The training did not include the proper use of the scaffold, and the proper handling of materials on the scaffold. a) Employees were not trained on the proper handling of materials and use of temporary platforms erected in the elevator shaft. Location : 1229 45th Street, Brooklyn N.Y. On or about 4/1/2016 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
