29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) Near 118 Ayers St. Newport, DE-On May 19, 2016, the employer did not ensure that employees installing trusses were protected from a fall hazard of approximately 24 feet above ground level.      Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification and documentation, required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written documentation.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a) Near 118 Ayers St. Newport, DE-The employer did not ensure that employees  exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 24 feet above ground level ,were trained in fall protection.  Observed on 19 May 2016.   Note: Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification, required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Ayer St, Newport, DE-On May 19, 2016, the employer did not ensure that employees rigging and observing the lifting and receiving of trusses were protected by protective helmets.     Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification and documentation, required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written documentation.
