The coated textile fabric in the heat press department emits formaldehyde when heated. in addition, alcohols, printing inks and cleaners are used at the facility. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. MODIFIED DUE TO INFORMAL 12/19/16 The violation description is amended to read The employer did not develop and implement a written chemical hazard communication for employees exposed to chemical hazards in the print department.
