29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure: (a) Ranco Roofing Inc, at 9804 Joplin Street, Commerce City, CO: On 5/31/16, the employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Employees of Ranco Roofing Inc were re-roofing a two story home. Approximately five employees were removing existing shingles and tar paper, preparing for replacement of the shingles and tar paper, and installing new tar paper on the first story and second story roofs. The employees were not protected from a fall. This condition exposed the employees to approximate ten to twelve foot fall hazards and approximate twenty foot fall hazard.

Employees of Ranco Roofing Inc were re-roofing a two story home.
