29 CFR 1910.243(c)(1)(ii)(a): A safety guard shall cover the spindle end, nut and flange projections. The safety guard shall be mounted so as to maintain proper alignment with the wheel, and the strength of the fastenings shall exceed the strength of the guard.      a) On February 17, 2016 safety guards were not attached on the Makita 4 1/2 inch Model #9557 hand grinder in that the rotating wheel exposed employees to cut/rotating parts.
