29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):    Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:    (a) On or about June 3, 2016 at worksite 48 E 52nd St, Kansas City, Missouri.-An employee was exposed to a fall hazard by using a ladder which did not extend 3 feet above the landing surface of the roof to which he gained access.      Abatement Note: Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):    Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   (a) On or about June 3, 2016 at worksite 48 E 52nd St ,Kansas City, Missouri- Employees were performing painting prep at an elevated heights of approximately 25-28 feet without any means of fall protection by way of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.     Abatement note: Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
