29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about June 3, 2016, an employee tightening bolts was exposed to fall hazards when working from an I-Beam with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above a lower lever without a fall protection system. Sergio's Metal Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 960056, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 26, 2014 in respect to a workplace located at 11508 FM 1488, Magnolia, Texas.
