29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): A continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (n) was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 dBA: a) At the facility, on or about June 21, 2016 - A continuing, effective hearing conservation program was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA. An employee, designated as a Job Class 4, had an exposure to continuous noise at a dose of 99.77%. The exposure is approximately 1.99 times the OSHA action level of 85 dBA. This is equivalent sound level of 89.9 dBA. b) At the facility, on or about June 21, 2016 - A continuing, effective hearing conservation program was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA. An employee, designated as a Job Class 1, had an exposure to continuous noise at a dose of 68.02%. The exposure is approximately 1.36 times the OSHA action level of 85 dBA. This is equivalent sound level of 87.2 dBA. c) At the facility, on or about June 21, 2016 - A continuing, effective hearing conservation program was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA. An employee, designated as a Job Class 1, had an exposure to continuous noise at a dose of 100.3%. The exposure is approximately 2.00 times the OSHA action level of 85 dBA.
