29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. WAREHOUSE: 1. The seat belt of the 11-3 Hyster powered industrial truck (PIT) was jammed and the employer had not posted a sign for out of service. 2. The back left light was not operable and the back right light cover was cracked of the 11-22 Hyster powered industrial truck (PIT).
