29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1): The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.95(k). The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program: a) Gwinnett Lumber Remanufacturing, Inc., Suwanee, GA - An employee building wooden pallets was exposed to noise at a TWA of 97.6 dBA which exceeded the action level of 85 dBA. The exposure was derived from an sample taken over 481 minutes. An audiometric testing program was not established, on or about 6/8/16. b) Gwinnett Lumber Remanufacturing, Inc., Suwanee, GA - An employee cutting lumber on the chop saw was exposed to noise at a TWA of 91.9 dBA which exceeded the action level of 85 dBA. The exposure was derived from an sample taken over 484 minutes. An audiometric testing program was not established, on or about 6/8/16. c) Gwinnett Lumber Remanufacturing, Inc., Suwanee, GA - An employee feeding the planer was exposed to noise at TWA of 93.3 dBA which exceeded the action level of 85 dBA. The exposure was derived from an sample taken over 467 minutes. An audiometric testing program was not established, on or about 6/8/16. d) Gwinnett Lumber Remanufacturing, Inc., Suwanee, GA - An employee building wooden boxes was exposed to noise at TWA of 94.2 dBA which exceeded the action level of 85 dBA.
