If the employee is out for an extended period of time, you must enter an estimate of the days that the employee will be away, and update the day count when the actual number of days is known: (a) On or about 10/12/16, the days away from work for a recordable employee injury which occurred on 4/19/16 had not been recorded on the log. (b) On or about 8/4/16, the days away from work for a recordable employee injury which occurred on 7/22/16 had not been recorded on the log.
