29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toe boards: Note: Toe boards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard. On or about May 12, 2016, an employee was exposed to fall hazards while working on top of a fire house with open-sided floors at a height greater than four feet. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF 29 CFR 1903.19(D).
