In the excavation located at the Hitch Village project, on or about 06-15-2016, the employer had not complied with the provisions of 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1)(i) in that the 6' deep and 22' long trench excavated in type "C" soil, had vertical North, East and West faces, exposing employees to contusions in the event of a cave in.
