29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by rotating parts: On or about 6/16/16 in the Maintenance shop; the employer allowed employees to operate the Wells metal-cutting Bandsaw (model #58B, serial #4834) without a guard over the unused blade; the SHUN SHIN lathe (machine #9161381, Type SS818BH) without a guard over the chuck and bit; and the Dayton 15" Drill Press (model 3Z566A) without a guard over the chuck and bit; thus exposing employees to amputation and struck-by hazards.
