29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6):     The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer:      (a) Two landscaping employees who occasionally wore an N95 disposable filtering facepiece respirator on a voluntary basis while operating grass trimming equipment (e.g., edgers, trimmers, blowers) had not been provided with the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D.    C.W. Resources, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1910.134(k)(6), which was contained in OSHA Inspection No. 911578, Citation No. 02, Item No. 001, and was affirmed as a final order December 9, 2013 with respect to a workplace located at 250 Aiken Street, Building 26, Shaw Air Force Base, SC 29152.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2) and (h)(3) on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:    (a) An employee who was potentially exposed to gasoline used to power various pieces of equipment (e.g., grass trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc.) he operated while performing landscaping work had not been provided information and training on hazardous chemicals.    (b) As of 6/9/16, the project manager, as well as four landscaping employees who were potentially exposed to gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, and brake parts cleaner had not been trained on the new chemical container label elements and the new format and types of information on each section of safety data sheets (SDSs) with respect to revisions to the standard in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).    C.W. Resources, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv), which was contained in OSHA Inspection No. 991204, Citation No. 02, Item No. 004, and was affirmed as a final order October 16, 2014 with respect to a workplace located at 250 Aiken Street, Building 26, Shaw Air Force Base, SC 29152.
