29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. On or about June 21, 2016 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing operations on a steep slope roof (6:12 pitch), eleven (11) and twelve (12) feet above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards. GEG Remodeling Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 996976, citation number 1,item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 7, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1099 Sandstone Court, Aurora, IL 60502.
