29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:    On or about June 21, 2016, employees working in the boiler house control room were required to work with corrosive chemicals such as, but not limited to, sulfuric acid, CDTA Reagent, DEHA1 Reagent, and DEHA2 Reagent.  The employer did not provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body in the work area.  An eye wash and shower were located outside of the control room.  Employees were exposed to potential injury to the eyes and skin.   Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with either the information specified under paragraphs (f)(1)(i) through (v) of this section for labels on shipped containers; or the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical:  On or about June 21, 2016, employees in the boiler house control room were using hazardous chemicals in the analysis of sample water.  Four containers were on the laboratory bench which were not labeled with a product identifier or general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals.    Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 1903.19(c).
