29 CFR 1926.62(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: a) Worksite at 151 Fairview Avenue, Verona, NJ--Verona High School upper athletic field. Interior surfaces of heavy equipment which the employees could contact were not maintained as free as practicable of lead accumulations. A bulldozer dashboard and side window of an excavator had 570 ug/100 cm2 and 1200 ug/100 cm2 of lead, respectively. Violation occurred on or about 8/2/16.

29 CFR 1926.62(l)(1)(i): The employer did not include lead in the program established to comply with the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) (29 CFR 1910.1200), ensure that each employee had access to labels on containers of lead and safety data sheets, was trained in accordance with the provisions of the Hazard Communication standard and 29 CFR 1926.62(l), and ensure that all the following hazards were addressed: Reproductive/developmental toxicity; central nervous system effects; kidney effects; blood effects; and acute toxicity effects: a) Worksite at 151 Fairview Ave., Verona, NJ - Verona High School The employer did not include lead in its hazard communication program and ensure that exposed employees to include but not limited to heavy equipment operators and laborers were trained on effects of lead on the body. Violation occurred on or about 7/1/16.
