29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed:    a. 30 Turner Place, Piscataway, NJ - "Pipe Door"     Warehouse employees working in the outside yard used a steel pipe to prop open and exit door.  A galvanized pipe was placed diagonally across the door opening to keep the door open for access from the outside. The exit door was obstructed by the placement of the pipe.      Violation observed on or about July 8, 2016    b. 30 Turner Place, Piscataway, NJ - Warehouse - South wall adjacent to charging area    Warehouse employees placed merchandise in front of an exit door reducing the egress path.  Pallets of boxes and a floor loaded box were placed in a manner that obstructed the exit.     Violation observed on or about July 8, 2016

Additionally, the line-of-sight to an exit sign must clearly be visible at all times.    a. 30 Turner Place, Piscataway, NJ - Warehouse     The employer did not post signs indicating the direction of travel to the exits in the warehouse where line of sight to an exit was not maintained at all times and where the direction to the nearest exit was not immediately apparent to employees, sub-contractor employees, and trucking company employees working in the warehouse. Employees erected a forklift battery charging station directly in front of the circuit breaker panel which controlled the power to the chargers.   Violation observed on or about July 8, 2016
